The Waterboys

The Waterboys formed in London in 1983, led by Scottish songwriter Mike Scott with a shifting lineup of musicians. Their sound evolved from post-punk to a Celtic-influenced rock style they termed "The Big Music." "The Whole of the Moon" appeared on their 1985 album "This Is the Sea" and became their signature song, reaching number three in the UK when re-released in 1991. The band has continued recording through multiple lineups across four decades.
