This Mortal Coil
This Mortal Coil was a British music collective created by Ivo Watts-Russell, founder of 4AD Records, beginning in 1983. The project brought together various 4AD artists including members of Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance to create atmospheric, ethereal recordings. Their haunting cover of Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren," featuring Elizabeth Fraser, became their best-known track, and the collective released three albums between 1984 and 1991.
