Bruce Gowers
Bruce Gowers worked primarily in the 1970s, creating early promotional films for major rock and disco acts during the pre-MTV era. His multi-camera performance film for Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" (1975) became one of the most-played clips in music television history and demonstrated how bands could visualize complex songs without narrative. He also directed performance films for the Bee Gees during their Saturday Night Fever peak, including "Stayin' Alive."
