Released in February 1975 as the first single from KC and the Sunshine Band's self-titled second album, this Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch composition became the group's first of five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. The song also topped the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart and reached No. 1 in Canada, with Rolling Stone ranking it number 100 on their "200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time" list in 2022.
