"Livin' la Vida Loca" was written by Draco Rosa and Desmond Child for Ricky Martin's English-language debut album in 1999. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks and reached number one in more than 20 countries, making Martin the first Puerto Rican artist to hit number one in the UK. The music video was directed by Wayne Isham and filmed in Los Angeles, winning four awards at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.
