"Our Lips Are Sealed" was co-written by Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go's and Terry Hall of the Specials, first recorded as the opening track on the Go-Go's debut album Beauty and the Beat (1981). Released as their debut single in June 1981, it reached the top three in Australia and Canada and the top 20 in the United States, with most vocals performed by Belinda Carlisle and Wiedlin singing the bridge.
