Stole

Written and produced by Dane Deviller, Sean Hosein, and Steve Kipner for Kelly Rowland's solo debut album Simply Deep (2002), "Stole" describes the lives of three teenagers cut short by gun violence, teen pregnancy and suicide. Released as the album's lead single in September 2002, it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. The music video depicts Rowland as a narrator commenting on the intertwined stories of the three teenagers in a high school setting.
