West End Girls
Written by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, "West End Girls" was released twice as a single—first in April 1984 and then re-recorded with producer Stephen Hague for their album Please, reaching number one in both the UK and US in 1986. The song won Best Single at the 1987 Brit Awards and Best International Hit at the Ivor Novello Awards, and in 2005 was awarded Song of The Decade between 1985 and 1994 by the British Academy of Composers and Songwriters.
