Band Aid

Band Aid was a charity supergroup assembled in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for Ethiopian famine relief. The collective brought together major British and Irish artists including Bono, George Michael, Sting, and members of Duran Duran for the single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" The recording became one of the best-selling singles in UK chart history and inspired similar charitable efforts worldwide.
