Bobby Brown
Bobby Brown launched his solo career in 1986 after leaving New Edition, the Boston R&B group he'd been part of since his teens. His second album "Don't Be Cruel" (1988) established him as a major force in New Jack Swing, blending hip-hop rhythms with R&B vocals. Brown scored multiple hit singles including "My Prerogative" and "Every Little Step," continuing his commercial success into the early 1990s with "Humpin' Around."
