Gloria Estefan
Gloria Estefan began her solo career in 1989 after years fronting Miami Sound Machine, bringing Latin-influenced pop to mainstream audiences. The Cuban-American singer became one of the most successful crossover Latin artists with multiple albums blending pop, dance, and Latin rhythms. Her career was briefly interrupted by a serious bus accident in 1990, but she returned with "Coming Out of the Dark" in 1991, marking her recovery.
