Herbie Hancock

Herbie Hancock is an American jazz pianist and composer who began his career in the 1960s, playing with Miles Davis before leading his own influential groups. In 1983, Hancock released "Rockit" from his album Future Shock, which incorporated hip-hop beats and electronic scratching techniques. The track marked a significant departure from his jazz work, introducing turntablism and electro-funk elements that brought Hancock to a new mainstream audience.
