Imagination

Imagination formed in London in 1981, led by vocalist Lee John alongside Ashley Ingram and Errol Kennedy. The trio specialized in smooth, orchestral R&B and funk-influenced dance music. "Just an Illusion" became their biggest hit in 1982, reaching the UK Top 2 and achieving success across Europe, cementing their status as one of Britain's leading soul acts of the early 1980s.
