Primitive Radio Gods
Primitive Radio Gods was formed in Southern California by songwriter Chris O'Connor in the mid-1990s. The alternative rock project blended atmospheric guitar work with sampled elements, most notably on their 1996 hit "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand," which appeared on their debut album "Rocket." The track sampled B.B. King's "How Blue Can You Get" and became a staple of alternative rock radio.
