The Bangles
The Bangles formed in Los Angeles in 1981 as a jangle pop band influenced by 1960s rock. The group achieved their biggest success with "Different Light" in 1986, which included the chart-topping "Manic Monday" written by Prince and "Walk Like an Egyptian." Their 1988 ballad "Eternal Flame" became their second number-one hit, showcasing the band's ability to blend rock instrumentation with pop melodies.
