The Jacksons
The Jacksons began as the family group Michael Jackson's brothers formed in Gary, Indiana in the 1960s, signing to Motown in 1968 as The Jackson 5. Their first four singles — 'I Want You Back', 'ABC', 'The Love You Save' and 'I'll Be There' — all reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970, an unprecedented achievement for a debut act. After leaving Motown in 1976 they renamed themselves The Jacksons and continued releasing hits like 'Blame It On the Boogie' and 'Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)' through the early 1980s, with Michael's solo career running in parallel.
