Gone Away
Written by singer Dexter Holland, "Gone Away" is the seventh track on The Offspring's fourth album, Ixnay on the Hombre (1997). Holland said the lyrics were reportedly inspired by a real-life incident in which he and his wife took cover when an ice cream shop was fired upon by gang members.
