Fun Boy Three
Fun Boy Three formed in 1981 after Terry Hall, Neville Staple, and Lynval Golding departed the Coventry band The Specials. The trio blended pop and new wave with distinctive vocal harmonies and unconventional instrumentation. Their collaboration with Bananarama on "It Ain't What You Do" reached the UK top five in 1982, and their debut single "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum)" and a 1983 version of "Our Lips Are Sealed" (co-written by Hall for The Go-Go's) also charted before the group disbanded in 1983.
