Madness

Madness formed in Camden, London in 1976, emerging from the British ska revival movement with a sound that mixed Jamaican ska rhythms with British music hall traditions. The band scored numerous UK hits beginning with "One Step Beyond" in 1979, followed by songs like "Baggy Trousers," "Our House," and "It Must Be Love." Their albums "One Step Beyond" and "Absolutely" both reached the top of the UK charts, making them one of Britain's most successful groups of the early 1980s.
